Boulder, Colorado Oct 6, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - AddressGenie Launches ChatGPT Plugin for Official U.S. Change of Address and Moving Tasks

U.S. movers can begin their change-of-address workflow in ChatGPT, update addresses with 6,000+ organizations, and send moving announcements. Plans start at $9.95.

AddressGenie announced its newly approved ChatGPT plugin, allowing U.S. movers to file an official U.S. Change of Address through a workflow that begins inside their ChatGPT conversations and concludes with secure checkout hosted by AddressGenie.

The plugin connects everyday requests--such as "I just moved," "I'm moving," or "Help me change my address everywhere"--with practical moving tasks. Beyond the Change of Address workflow, AddressGenie helps users update their addresses with more than 6,000 organizations across 23 categories, send moving announcements using Gmail and Outlook contacts, and organize their move with the Don't Forget moving checklist.

From a Conversation to a Change-of-Address Workflow

People traditionally search for terms such as "USPS change of address," "post office change of address," or "mail forwarding" when preparing to move. With AddressGenie in ChatGPT, users can explain their situation in natural language and ask for help completing the relevant tasks.

AddressGenie guides users through the required move information and creates a private Move Draft. Users can review and confirm their information before following a secure handoff to AddressGenie's hosted checkout.

Payment-card information is not collected inside ChatGPT. Creating a Move Draft alone does not complete an order or activate mail forwarding.

The service supports permanent and temporary U.S. moves, including people preparing to move and those who have already relocated.

Address Updates Beyond Mail Forwarding

A move involves more than redirecting mail. Banks, insurers, utilities, subscriptions, retailers, and other organizations may still hold a customer's previous address.

AddressGenie helps users coordinate address updates with organizations relevant to their move. Its directory covers more than 6,000 organizations across 23 categories, extending the moving workflow beyond a Change of Address alone.

Users can also make compound requests, such as: "We moved last week. Help us forward our mail, update our address with our accounts, and tell friends and family our new address."

Moving Announcements and a Checklist for the Rest of the Move

AddressGenie's moving announcements support Gmail and Outlook contacts, helping users share their new address with friends, family, and other contacts.

The Don't Forget moving checklist helps users organize tasks before, during, and after their move. Together, these services connect mail forwarding, company notifications, personal announcements, and moving preparation in one broader moving journey.

Pricing and Service Boundaries

AddressGenie plans start at $9.95. Available services and pricing depend on the plan selected.

The Change of Address service is designed for U.S. moves. The ChatGPT plugin is not a package-tracking service; users seeking shipment status should use their carrier's tracking tools.

AddressGenie is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the United States Postal Service. Consumers can also file a Change of Address directly with USPS.
