Adamson holds off UE, bounces back in UAAP

MANILA, Philippines — Adamson University woke up in time to hold off University of the East, 71-64, to bounce back in the UAAP Season 89 men’s basketball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena Sunday.  The Soaring Falcons soared to a 22-point, 54-32 halftime lead but scored three points only in the third quarter, as the Red Warriors unleashed 17 to pull within eight, 49-57, entering the final canto. Adamson answered UE for the rest of the way, though, to recover from its loss to NU and rise to 3-2 for a share of third place with De La Salle as of posting time. UE dropped to 0-6.
